How Will Better Time Management Benefit YOU?

How will better time management benefit you?  Have you ever contemplated that question?  In this blog post, I encourage you to think about this question and to envision your life as though you have already mastered time management.  Below are a few questions that will help get you on the right path:

When you manage your time effectively…

  • How do you feel?
  • What benefits materialize in your life?
  • Are you less stressed?
  • Do you get more work done?
  • Does your income increase or your debt decrease?
  • Do you spend more time with family/friends or partaking in a hobby?
  • Do you sleep better (because there is less on your mind)?

When you do Not manage your time effectively…

  • What happens (what is the payoff)?
  • Is the payoff positive?  Is there something else that suffers alongside the positive payoff?
  • Is the payoff negative?  What will it take for you to manage your time more effectively and therefore avoid the negative payoff?

are you ready for the benefits of better time management?

  • If you were able to more efficiently manage your time, what benefits would you expect to receive?
  • Are these benefits desirable to you?
  • What is your greatest fear about receiving these benefits?
  • What is the worst that could happen if you receive these benefits?  Can you survive the worst scenario you can think of?

Hopefully asking yourself the above questions has helped you zero in on specific benefits you’ve experienced in the past when you did manage your time well.  I also hope you’ve uncovered your positive and negative payoffs for wasting time.  And lastly,  I hope that you have started to envision your life with all the benefits that can be manifested as a result of managing your work time and your personal time more wisely!

Cheers!
